| Abstract | Modern working patterns are directly and adversely affecting family lives and personal relationships. Using survey data, we confirm qualitative evidence that long hours of work, weekend work, irregular starting times, high pressure and long hours cultures are contributing to deteriorating home relationships and leading to dissatisfaction amongst partners. |
