This article reports on a Griffith Institute of Higher Education (GIHE) funded project designed to enable students in the Bachelor of Education, secondary English strand, to become familiar with and use the Internet. Additionally, the project provided opportunities for students to identify relevant criteria for evaluating and using literacy resources located at other Internet sites. While the project is about preservice training, many of the issues raised apply to teachers in schools who are seeking ways to integrate technology-based literacy into the curriculum. This article reports on a Griffith Institute of Higher Education (GIHE) funded project designed to enable students in the Bachelor of Education, secondary English strand, to become familiar with and use the Internet.
