| Abstract | This chapter presents phallometric testing which is a tool to assess sexual deviance with sexual offenders. Literature in this particular field of sexual offending is also updated to illustrate the potential of this instrument to assess sexual offenders but also issues related to its reliability (internal consistency and test-retest reliability) and criterion validity. Lastly, the prediction of recidivism in relation to this instrument is also discussed. |
