| Abstract | Various concepts and applications of cleaner production and industrial ecology (IE) systems to small and medium industries (SMI) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are proposed. The UAE is facing several environmental impacts based on several studies such as water resources, urban environment and biodiversity resources degradation. It aims to promote environmental management partnerships in cleaner production IE into current environmental practices. It also enhances the material, energy resources and waste management exercices among and between the industries. |
