| Abstract | As we near the end of the first decade of the 21st century, the development in students of the attributes of lifelong learning is recognized internationally as a common goal of education systems. The field of Family and Consumer Science—in some parts of the world known by other names including Home Economics—is no exception to this trend. The use of Information and Computer Technologies as a medium to achieve this goal is an important consideration in this context, particularly given their proliferation and the trend toward pedagogical reform incorporating recent innovations relying on their use. |
