The Tamborine Mountain area of the Gold Coast, Australia often faces rock slope failures during rainy seasons. To have a better understanding of the factors that may affect the slope stability, several rock slope sites have been examined in detail to assess the effect of discontinuities formed in the rock masses, and degree of weathering of the rocks on the overall stability of slopes.
