| Abstract | An evaluation of wave-induced liquefaction is one of the most important factors, which must be considered in the design of marine structures. Numerous models for wave-induced liquefaction have been proposed in the past. However, all previous models have been based on the conventional approaches of engineering mechanics with limited laboratory work. Unlike previous research, we propose an alterative approach, based on an artificial neural network (ANN), for the prediction of the maximum liquefaction depth. Numerical examples demonstrate the capacity of the proposed ANN model for the prediction of wave-induced liquefaction depth, which provides civil engineers with another effective tool. |
